The return of Cork’s own troubadour and living legend Jimmy Crowley, with his creative musical theatre piece Songs From The Beautiful City.
A vibrant dramatization of his lifelong musical expedition as a song collector and creator Jimmy reignites the old street names like Cat Lane, Phair’s Cross & Connor’s Glens which are almost gone from living memory.
In between ballads and ditties Jimmy will give life long-forgotten to parts of Cork by weaving stories about colourful characters, maritime exploits and daily life.
Drawing on many traditions to fashion his unique performance style and repertoire with funny, touching and raucous tales presenting them as essential affirmations of Cork Culture.
