GENERAL INFORMATION

Welcome to the very first annual competition in memory of Martin O’Brien.

The competition will be fished over two days; the main prize is for the boat with the most different species caught over the two days. There will of course be many other prizes, which will be listed on the prize list.

We are fortunate that we have 15 square miles of sheltered waters inside the harbour in the event of bad weather; an angler can catch over twenty species within the harbour.

We have received great support and sponsorship from both businesses and locals who knew Martin well, and we would ask that you try to support these when you can.

We will publish the results in ROSIES BAR around 9.30pm on Saturday evening, where there will be entertainment. The presentation of prizes will also take place in Rosies Bar on Sunday evening at 9.30pm.

LOWER AGHADA TENNIS & SAILING CLUB

This will be where the boats will be launched and retrieved each day and the weigh will take place. Please note that tennis is played at all times on the courts, it is important that you park properly and Do Not Obstruct The Freshwater Tap At the Top of the Slip, where possible you should reverse onto the grass and park as close as you can to each other. Please leave the area tidy.

Recommended Admiralty Charts for the Cork area are:     1765   1773   1777
