The East Cork Early Music Festival is the leading festival of its kind in Ireland.
This festival promotes and encourages the performance and appreciation of early music performed with instruments appropriate to the period, faithful to the style of earlier times but vital and coherent in ours. It also makes connections to contemporary music, traditional music and other art forms such as dance, theatre, literature, visual arts and film. In addition to presenting international artists, the event also nurtures Irish and Irish based musicians and other early music experts such as instrument makers and publishers.
This years festival will once again offer a feast of concerts over five days in September, in glorious venues from Cork city to Youghal.
